This cable allows you to wirelessly trigger a camera from the DJI Focus Pro Hand Unit, or via cable for the Focus Pro Grip.

R/S data is sent from the DJI Hand Unit to the Focus Pro Motor via the 2.4GHz connection, then via this cable from motor to camera port.

R/S data is sent from DJI Hand Grip to the Focus Pro Motor via USB-C cable, then via this cable from motor to camera port.

The USB-C Right Angle plugs into the DJI Focus Pro motor port.

The 9-Pin Lemo Right Angle plugs into the EXT port on these cameras:

Why did Ignite Digi make this cable?

DJI released the Focus Pro system on April 9th 2024. Since release, the only way to trigger a camera's run/stop from the DJI Focus Pro Hand Unit was via Bluetooth. That works fine for prosumer level cameras that feature Bluetooth connectivity, but obviously most high end cinema cameras do not feature Bluetooth.

Initially, DJI firmware did not allow Run/Stop cables to work. But with more recent firmware releases, these cables have been made possible. For whatever reason, DJI don’t seem to be interested in making R/S cables, so Ignite did!

I already own the other Ignite Run/Stop cable (RS4 Pro + Focus Pro Grip), why can’t I use that cable?

This answer is referring to these other R/S cables: IG.100371, IG.100372, IG.100259, IG.100434, IG.100373.

Unfortunately, this is a DJI limitation. DJI designed two different Run/Stop protocols 😩

This means one Run/Stop cable only works with the Focus Pro Motor port, and the other Run/Stop cable only works with the RSS Camera Control Port found on the RS gimbals and Focus Pro Grip.

Does this R/S cable carry power?

No. This cable triggers Run/Stop only.

Focus Pro Motors cannot accept 24V power. It would be irresponsible to wire the Fischer for power.

Can I use the older DJI 3-Channel Follow Focus Hand Unit (released 2023)?

No. Because this older hand unit cannot communicate with the Focus Pro motors.

What is the rated distance from the Focus Pro Hand Unit to Focus Pro Motor?

The DJI Focus Pro Hand Unit connects to the Focus Pro Motors via their internal 2.4GHz radio band. The range is rated at 100m (CE) / 450ft (FCC).

Can I plug this cable into a DJI RS Focus Motor (released 2022)?

No. This cable is not compatible with the DJI RS Focus Motor (2022) and Tilta Nucleus Nano II motor.
