Permanent part time or full time position, flexible with candidate.
We are looking for an experienced PCB Electronics Technician to take on the important role of the design, build and testing of bespoke electronic solutions.
You will lead the prototype design, testing, PCB ordering, review and modification as well as research and data collection for new products.
If full time, the additional work would be in CNC workshop QC'ing parts or in office (shipping and assembly).
As an experienced PCB Electronics Technician you will be responsible for the following:
Design, build and testing of bespoke electronic solutions
Prototype design, existing design review and modifications
Use PCB design and mechanical CAD software to develop product designs (Fusion 360/Eagle preferred)
Proactively take part in research and data collection
To be successful in this role you must have:
Qualifications within the Electrical or Electronics Industry
Expertise in professional PCB design and EDA software, preferably Fusion 360/Eagle
Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical & electronic devices at a component level
Previous experience maintaining technical documentation with regards to updates and version control
Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact within a small team environment
Ability to focus on specific problems and prioritise tasks in order to deliver best value to the business
Superb computer, writing and presentation skills
Passion for innovation and ability to work in a fast paced but rewarding environment
Desirable additional skills:
Microprocessor programming, Firmware development for microcontrollers (C/C++)
Working with various interfaces, such as SPI, I2C, UART, RS485, CAN
USB-C and Bluetooth protocol knowledge
