Servo Link translates Tilta FIZ commands to industry standard broadcast servo and cine servo lens control.

Used in conjunction with FUSION HUB, this allows Control Deck and FIZBUSTER operators to remotely control Canon and Fujinon servo lenses via the long range DJI Transmission signal! 🔥

Lenses such as the Canon Cine-Servo 17-120mm, or Fujinon Cabrio 20-120mm on a gimbal — Ronin 2, MōVI XL, or Torq Head (and others).

Pass off FIZ control to your 1st AC and Nucleus-M II Hand Unit.

Also useful for handheld rigs connected to Tilta Hand Grips, or other products that control Tilta Nucleus-M motors.

Servo Link is a collaborative project between Ignite Digi & Signal Audio.

FAQ

Can the Servo Link cables be purchased separately?

Yes! The module and cables can be purchased separately here:

Servo Link / Module Only

Control Cable ‣ Fusion Hub to Servo Link

Control Cable ‣ Servo Link to Canon 20-Pin Hirose

Control Cable ‣ Servo Link to Fujinon 20-Pin Hirose

Control Cable ‣ Servo Link to Fujinon 10-Pin Hirose

Does Control Deck require new firmware to work with Servo Link?

Yes.

You must be on a minimum of V2.2 across the Control Ecosystem: Control Deck, CANBUSTER, Fusion Hub, FIZBUSTER.

Can I use the Fujinon 20-Pin Hirose splitter cable with a Canon lens?

Unfortunately no.

Fujinon and Canon servo lenses feature the same Hirose port, but use different pins for control.

⚠️ ⚠️ ⚠️

It is important that you DO NOT use the Fujinon splitter cable with a Canon lens. Damage may occur.

Vice versa, we advice that you DO NOT plug a Canon 20-Pin cable into a Fujinon lens.

Why does the Fujinon 20-Pin Hirose splitter cable have a D-Tap?

Fujinon Cabrio lenses relied on LDS pins for power, but some cameras don’t have these on their PL mounts.

The same Cabrios also don’t have a 12-Pin lens cable, or more than one 20-Pin Hirose port… 🫤

The D-Tap is there for when your camera can’t power the lens servo.

Does Servo Link require its own power source?

Servo Link draws power from Fusion Hub. The short 7-Pin Lemo to 7-Pin Lemo Anglissimo cable feeds both control data and power.

My servo lens has 6-Pin, 8-Pin, and 12-Pin Hirose ports, can I use an adapter to connect Servo Link?

No.

6-Pin, 8-Pin and 12-Pin are older generations of Hirose (analog control only). Servo Link is designed for digital serial control.

My servo lens has multiple Hirose ports, which one should I use?

For 20-Pin Canon servo lenses, use the port marked ★ / VIRTUAL / SERIAL

For 20-Pin Fujinon lenses, use the one marked with EXPANSION / EXP / SERIAL

For Fujinon lenses that have RD or ZD (servos for F+I+Z), and S48 or S58 in their model number, the 10-Pin Hirose port will be marked SERIAL.

Where does Servo Link mount?

Servo Link mounts to the DJI Video Transmitter with two M4 x 16mm captive socket head cap screws.

Just like Fusion Hub, the Servo Link module follows the contours of the TX for a neat and tidy build.

For large camera rigs, the module is lightweight (45g) and compact enough to be used in-line held by the Lemo cables.

What does the LED light mean?

SOLID = Servo lens connected and communicating.

BLINKING = Servo lens not connected.

ORANGE = Servo Link has full FIZ Control.

BLUE = Servo Link has Focus and Zoom Control / Camera has Iris Control (for CCU use).

PURPLE = No Tilta data received. Check you are using the correct cable from Fusion Hub to Servo Link, or from other Tilta devices to Servo Link!
