We've developed lightweight landing gear for Ronin 2!

This gimbal is popular across the heavy lift drone industry particularly since the launch of the Freefly Alta X in September 2019.

Our landing gear is designed to be used on drones up to 40kg (88lbs). For heavier rigs we recommend using heavy duty retracts.

For those flying the Alta X, we made an adapter (sold separately) that allows you to use the Freefly Toad in the Hole Quick Release system for a fast mount and release workflow!

Landing Gear for Ronin 2 sold out during 2025 and we were considering not making another batch due to limited interest.

Well that all changed in December 2025, 10 fresh sets were manufactured.

It's very likely we won't machine another batch. Once they're gone, they’re gone for good!

At 440 grams, this lightweight system comes with everything you need to safely land your R2 and camera package.

The three legs are made with 20mm carbon fibre and protected with tube end caps. We ship six end caps - three installed and three spare.

The Cross Bar Clamp, elbow joints and Rear Hub are CNC machined from high-grade aluminium billet.

The Rear Hub, hard anodised in Ignite orange, replaces the standard R2 roll motor cover for a rigid mounting point.

We supply all the required socket head screws plus spares!

Designed, manufactured and assembled in Tasmania, Australia.
